Charles Ives Scholarship: Marcus Karl Maroney

Marcus Karl Maroney is a graduate student at Yale University, where he has received the Martha Curtis Miles Scholarship. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998. He attended Tanglewood Music Center on a fellowship from the Aaron Copland Fund, and he has been honored by ASCAP in their Young Composers' Awards program. His composition teachers include David Del Tredici, George Benjamin, Ned Rorem, and Dan Welcher.
