Goddard Lieberson Fellowship: Kenneth Frazelle

Kenneth Frazelle is Composer-in-Residence with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Santa Rosa Symphony and is on faculty at North Carolina School of Arts. He has been Artist-in-Residence at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, Regional Visiting Artist Fellow at the American Academy in Rome, and was twice awarded North Carolina Arts Council fellowships. His works have been commissioned by Paula Robison, Paul Sperry, Yo Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax, Dawn Upshaw, Jeffrey Kahane, Joseph Swensen the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and St. Paul Sunday Morning. His work has also been performed by Ransom Wilson, Manuel Barrueco, Odetta, Gilbert Kalish, and Jan deGaetani. He has been awarded two Meet the Composer grants, and three Mary Duke Biddle Foundation grants. He is a graduate of The Juilliard School and the North Carolina School of the Arts, and his principal teachers include Roger Sessions, David Diamond, Renee Longy, and Robert Ward.
