Arnold Broido
After serving on the ASCAP Board from 1972 to 1979, Broido was re-elected in 1981 and voted Treasurer in 1990. He is also a Director and Treasurer of the ASCAP Foundation. In addition to his work at ASCAP and Presser, some of his activities include: Director and Secretary of the National Music Publishers Association, Director and Secretary of the Harry Fox Agency, former President and current Director of the Music Publishers Association of the United States, Chairman of the International Confederation of Music Publishers and President of the International Federation of Serious Music Publishers. He and his wife Lucy have three sons, Jeffrey, a computer consultant, Laurence, proprietor of an acoustic guitar store, and Thomas, President of the Theodore Presser group of companies. The Theodore Presser Company is the oldest continuing music publisher in the United States, tracing its roots back to 1783. |
