The American Music Center has announced grant awards totaling $24,622 to 26 composers through the current round of the Composer Assistance Program. The awardees are American composers ranging in age from 25 to 73. AMC awards approximately $85,000 annually to composers to assist in the production of performance materials for premiere performances. Among the organizations premiering or featuring public readings of CAP-supported works this round are the New York City Opera VOX program, Bang on a Can All-Stars, University of Michigan Symphony Band, SPUNK, and Alarm Will Sound.
