Composers Lisa Bielawa and Don Byron are the winners of the 113th annual Rome Prize Competition, the American Academy in Rome announced today. Awardees are provided with a stipend, a study or studio, and room and board for a period of six months to two years. They will take up residence at the American Academy in Rome in September 2009.
